Pre writing blocks - Double sided

Before a child is ready to write, they make marks. Any marks in any material- not just pen on paper. 
We can that build up to encouraging a child to draw lines and shapes, Building strength in hands until little bones are strong enough to hold a pen and write. 
These double sided blocks are 100 x 85mm in size and made from solid oak. They have a variety of lines and shapes that children might like to trace or draw. I’ve used sand on a light panel and a paintbrush here but children can also trace over lines with fingers or use sticks, brushes, pens … in sand, rice, paint … so many opportunities 🤩
